Comments:The Choral Society is a ninety-plus strong choir and gave its first concert on 2nd November 1860. Rehearsals are on Thursdays during school terms (September to March) from 7.30 to 9.15pm at Queen Elizabeth's High School, Morton Terrace, Gainsborough. Annual subscription for singers (including hire of music) is 65 (adults), 10 (students - who may pay as 5 per half season). Comments:Meetings held the third Thursday of every other month, starting November, January, March etc. Thanks to a very small but hard working and dedicaed band of volunteers, the Heckington Village Trust Heritage and Railway Museum is now open on Bank Holiday Sundays and Mondays. Comments:In the mid 17th Century, West Rasen became a Roman Catholic enclave. In the 19th Century a Roman Catholic Chapel/School was built for villagers. This was given to the village in 1943 by the then landowner. In 1998, a decision was made to restore the building. This enterprise took the group 8 years to complete. The group has adopted the Green Man, a symbol of re-growth and renewal, as an emblem. Meetings aren held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm. This year, speakers from different faiths will provide information about their beliefs. All welcome
