"The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire exists to protect, preserve, promote and present the rich heritage of the county for the benefit of local people and visitors."
The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire aims to assist in the conservation and enhancement of the historic environment of the county. The Trust endeavours to involve the local community and visitors by improving access to all aspects of this heritage, by offering opportunities to learn about the past and by organising heritage projects and events to celebrate the diverse heritage of the county.
The Trust is supported by County and District Councils, national heritage bodies and through commercial activities and sponsorship. We carry out a wide range of activities in order to:
Investigate and record the county's historic and archaeological heritage and make it available to all
Save and renovate threatened historic buildings and make them suitable for new uses
Encourage private individuals, local societies and the business and commercial sector to work with the Trust on imaginative heritage projects
Help the people of Lincolnshire, young and old, to understand and take pride in their county
To promote the rich and diverse heritage of the county for the benefit of local people and visitors.
The Trust is based in The Old School building in Heckington and maintains a public library and resource room. Please contact us on 01529 461499 or by email
