Membership of Heritage Lincolnshire

Welcome to this celebration of the life of Hilary Healey. Everyone attending today is here out of affection for Hilary and respect for her many achievements. Hilary was a major authority on not just one but many areas of Lincolnshire’s heritage and everyday life. Her interests were so wide that it has not been possible to include them all in today’s programme of talks but some are acknowledged in the displays within the hall. Included is some of her vast portfolio of under-rated artwork from which Hilary’s love of Lincolnshire beams out. She also wrote poetry and short stories and was an avid collector of any printed word about Lincolnshire. All attending will have some affectionate Hilary anecdotes. We urge you to share them during the breaks as you peruse the displays and remember Hilary’s many and varied talents and the major contributions she has made to investigating, conserving, interpreting, identifying, publicising and furthering Lincolnshire’s rich heritage in its many forms.
