The county of Lincolnshire is rich in history; castles, churches, old villages, the relics of past industries and ancient landscapes. We are surrounded by places of significance and beauty, and we have a rich history and strong local traditions. Local archaeology is a constant source of interest and fascination, the legacy left to us by our predecessors.
Lincolnshire People who enjoy our county's heritage will want to do what our forebears have done, and leave something behind that will make the Lincolnshire's heritage still richer.
The Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire is an independent charity working to protect, preserve and promote the enjoyment of our history and archaeology. The Trust would like all Lincolnshire people to consider making the Heritage Trust a beneficiary of their will. In time, this could make a real different to the Trust's work to preserve the county's heritage for the benefit of generations of 'yellowbellies' to come. The Trust have just issued an attractive new leaflet which sets out how people can help protect the heritage of the county in their will.
David Start, Director of Heritage Lincolnshire said:
"Our personal circumstances are always changing, but it is a simple matter to include favourite charities when we write or revise a Will. If you decide include Heritage Lincolnshire in your Will, this could in time make a real difference to the work to preserve the county's cultural heritage."
"Any solicitor will be able to help you do this in the most appropriate way. Of course, you can make or revise a Will at any time – so why not do it now?"
