Heritage News GROW Personal Development and Lifelong Learning Local heritage is a popular topic which is of great interest to a community. Introductory day schools offer an opportunity for members of a family to learn together and share the experience of learning about their local heritage.
Heritage Lincolnshire offers high quality informal learning opportunities to a variety of audiences focussing on the history, archaeology and traditions of the county.
GROW is a FREE programme of lifelong learning run by Lincolnshire County Council. Working in partnership with the Council, Heritage Lincolnshire will be delivering 12 short courses between September 2010 and July 2011. The courses are open to all aged 19 or above on 31st August 2010.
Course topics include:
The first course is 'Discovering Lincolnshire's Heritage' and it will be held over two Fridays, starting 17th September 2010, from 9.30am to 12.30 pm at The Old School, Cameron Street, Heckington, Sleaford, NG34 9RW.
Come and explore the rich heritage of the county and learn more about what gives Lincolnshire its unique character.
