Key questions / FAQ

I am planning a development, where do I go for archaeological advice?

Archaeological advice on development proposals in Boston Borough, South Kesteven District and North Kesteven District is provided by Heritage Trust for Lincolnshire.

Archaeological advice for South Holland, East Lindsey and West Lindsey Districts is provided by Lincolnshire County Council.

For the City of Lincoln, contact the Heritage Team.

How do I find an archaeological contractor?

Details for professional archaeological contractors can be found on the Yellow Pages website (yell.com) and also from the Institute of Field Archaeologist website.

How much will it cost?

Jenny and Joanna cannot give advice on the cost of archaeological work. Quotes for work can be obtained from archaeological contactors. The cost will vary depending on the type of work required.
