"Looking at Lincolnshire" has a big theme.... our county, its history, geography and famous people. It is also the first book about the county specially written for younger children. It is published by the Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and has been produced in consultation with the County Literacy Consultant and the Education Inspectors for history and geography.

Each page has a specially commissioned illustration with a photograph, plan or map, along with texts, captions and fact boxes. The superb illustrations are by a local artist and designer, Sarah Crome from Alford, who has worked on many heritage projects both in Lincolnshire and nationally. The texts have been written by David Start, Director of the county's Heritage Trust, with the help and advice of the Literacy Consultant, subject advisers and primary teachers.
