The Roman Trail

Produced by Heritage Lincolnshire and North Kesteven District Council   RRP: £3.00 plus £1.00 postage and packing     When we think of Roman Lincolnshire our attention is usually drawn to the City of Lincoln or the town of Horncastle. This trail has been designed to look at the rich Roman heritage to be found in the district of North Kesteven.   The trail is divided into two parts: the first being a factual account of the Roman archaeological remains in the district, with the second providing a graphic description of specific sites.   A great deal of North Kesteven's Roman remains lay unexcavated, but where remains do occur, and there is access for the public, details of their nature and location are given in Part 2 of the trail. In short, this trail is not an exhaustive review of the subject - more an introduction to the Roman remains of the district.
