A once-a-year chance to discover architectural treasures and enjoy a wide range of tours, events and activities that bring local history and culture to life for free!

Heritage Open Days celebrates England’s architecture and culture by allowing visitors free access to interesting properties that are either not usually open, or would normally charge an entrance fee. It also includes tours, events and activities that focus on and celebrate the local heritage of the area. Heritage Open Days is England’s biggest and most popular voluntary cultural event and is also held in a further 48 countries across Europe.

This year the theme for Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days is 'Tudor Lincolnshire'. Don't forget to pick up your HOD brochure at the Lincolnshire Show, Heckington Show, from a Tourist Information Centre or library near you or download a pdf version of the Heritage Open Days 2015 brochure.

Lincolnshire’s Heritage Open Days

Since 1994 the Heritage Lincolnshire has co-ordinated Heritage Open Days within the county. So far there have been over 1,000 events in the 21 years that we’ve been managing the programme!

In 2014 Lincolnshire’s Heritage Open Days attracted over 26,000 visitors to its 113 events. Over 740 volunteers and 90 staff helped to make the 2014 programme a great success.
